Houdini 12: Skin & Hair Tests

These are very old, but i know some would like to see the progression. Based on the old Mantra Shader, i learnt a lot about SSS, point clouds and the PBR renderer. Using 2/3 area lights and a HDR (also shown in the background).

Also tested 3D Coat’s texturing capabilities. what you see rendered is displacement done in Zbrush and Bump which is hand painted.

In the end i did not like the workflow nor the end results.
